Sobremesa Bar Event Terms and Conditions.

DEFINITIONS
“We/Us/Our/The Venue” shall mean Sobremesa Bar or any associated company.

“You/Your/The Host/the client” shall mean the individual or Company with whom We have contracted and all others who are connected with You.

“Guests” shall mean people invited to attend the event by the host.

“the Contract” shall mean the document attached hereto and signed by You and Us.

“the Event” shall mean the event described in the Contract to take place in the Venue on the date stated.

 

CONFIRMATION

Unless confirmed with a deposit all bookings are provisional and may be cancelled. We know these things take time to organise so we’re happy to give you an agreed time that works for you, after a provisional booking is made, to confirm it. If a booking remains provisional your booking may be offered to other enquiries. Bookings are only confirmed when a deposit is paid for them. Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE and count towards the minimum bar spend.

 

COSTS

We ask for a deposit to secure your booking.  We impose a minimum spend on the evening in question. This will be determined and agreed upon before the booking is confirmed. If this minimum spend is not met on the evening we will invoice the shortfall which will be payable on the evening of the event.

 

GUESTS

As it’s your party you’re free to invite whoever you like, however we request you don’t invite anyone that you wouldn’t invite into your own home.
The host is responsible for all guests attending their function; this includes the behaviour of such guests and liability for any damage caused or any items missing (presumed taken).  The host chose Sobremesa Bar because of its ambience and aesthetics, direct renumeration may be sought from the host for the cleaning, repair or replacement of any broken or missing fixtures or fittings as well as any other loss incurred by the venue.  Legal action may be taken in order to recover any incurred losses if not address voluntarily by the host.
The host may be required to ask any guest to leave at the request of the management should their behaviour be deemed as inappropriate. Sobremesa Bar reserves the right to remove any person it deems is not behaving appropriately.

Sobremesa Bar operates a strict no drugs policy and any host or guest that is found to be possessing or using drugs on the premises will be asked to leave and barred.  We have a duty of care to inform the police where any laws are broken.

We ask that all parties are treated with respect and are not subjected to abusive behaviour of any kind. 

Our staff work hard to ensure that hosts and their guests enjoy their event, they treat all hosts and guests with respect and courtesy, please ensure that our staff are treated with respect and courtesy in return.

 

CANCELLATION

If you want to cancel your booking, you must confirm this via email with a member of the Sobremesa Bar Management. Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE in the event of cancellation.

 

LIABILITY

Sobremesa Bar shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to any property belonging to or brought onto the premises by any person. Save as required by law Sobremesa Bar is not responsible or liable for any injury or any other loss or claim whatsoever by or to any person on its premises.
Sobremesa Bar shall not be responsible for any loss due to mechanical breakdown, failure in electricity supply, flood, fire, government restriction or force majeure that may cause the premises to be temporarily closed or the event interrupted.
No signs or other items shall be placed outside or affixed to any part of Sobremesa Bar premises without prior consent from the management
The host shall indemnify Sobremesa Bar, its agents and employees and assigns from and against all/any liabilities, losses, damage, claims and expenses (including but not limited to legal expenses) of any nature relating to or arising out of any failure of the host to perform or comply or procure compliance with the terms of the booking and its legal obligations generally.
